About College

The SKN College of Agriculture was established by Rawal Narendra Singhji in the year 1947, and it is the first of its kind in the state of Rajasthan. The college is named after the founder and his father. The institute aims at achieving excellence in the field of agricultural science through research, education and extension. It imparts knowledge in basic along with scientific skills. Not only this, the institute aims at uplifting the rural population of the nation. For this, the institute is provided with extension wings. These serve as a way to orient the students in their stream. The institute also provides training to the farmers as well every year.

• Infrastructure and Facilities: The Institute is beautifully made with proper and high ceiling classrooms. The building appears as a monumental structure. The campus is enclosed in greenery which provides a serene environment to the students. The infrastructure is entire student friendly and is well equipped with all necessary facilities. There is hostel facility for non-residential students providing a total of six hotels. These hostels are provided with all the fundamental facilities for indoor games, Wi-Fi, etc. The library has a massive assemblage of books, about forty-six thousand books. There are about 100 journals also. The central laboratory is air conditioned with all the equipments. There is also a computer lab in the PG department for facilitating the students. • NCC, NSO and NSS: The institute has its ways to ensure proper participation of all the students. Each pupil has to mandatorily involve themselves in one of the three activities which is counted as a vital part of the degree programme.
