The Ayurvedi & Unani Tibbia College also known as Tibbia College or A & U Tibbia College is a historical institute started as Madarsa Tibbia in 1921 by Haziq-Ul-Mulk Hakim Abdul Majeed Khan Saheb. Further on Madarsa Tibbia was renewed and re-established in new building at Karol Bagh by Masih-Ul-Mulk Hakim Ajmal Khan Saheb. This institution was inducted by Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on 13th February, 1921.
Infrastructure/ Departments:
The college which is spread over an area of 33.5 acres (0.136km2) includes a garden of herbs. The college building which houses a major of the offices is a mix of colonial, classical, Mughul and Indian architecture. The college building has now been considered as “A Heritage Building” The campus also houses a Dawakhana which appears as a Gothic cathedral, a curious blend of Asiatic and Latin architecture. There are 28 Departments (14 Departments for each system Ayurved and Unani) and a Hospital with 150 beds attached to the College where practical training is given to the students.
