About College
College of Visual Arts, Kolkata aims in propagation of art and developing the creative abilities of the students, draws the artistic talents from all the states, thus providing the ambience of creative interaction between teachers and students. The valuable and modern form of artistic opportunity for becoming a true artist is one of the main objectives of the college. The college teaches Painting graphics (print making), sculpture (3 Dimension) applied art (2 Dimension). When comes to the painting the faculty provides training in basic skills in various media like Pencil, water color, Gouache, Tempera, wash, Oil, Acrylic and mixed application in gradual order.

Why to join College of visual arts?
- Awards and Rewards for the students: The college provides scholarships who show good skills and the students over there able to get state and national scholarships with their talent in continuous years and some of the scholarships that they are able to get are Sri M. A. Mallick Junior National Scholarship, Sri Susanta Dey Junior National Scholarship, and many more.
- Extra-curricular activities: Students over there organize a wall Magazine and current news event that shows inside the college campus every month and also Annual College Magazine by the name “VISIONISM” is published every year
- Special lectures: The faculty in the college is highly qualified and experienced, other than the regular faculty the college also invites eminent Artist and personality for special lectures on sculpture, painting and writing. Listening lectures from such a high eminent personalities would really make the education more interesting.
