About College
The National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR), has been constituted as a non profit organization with the objective of engaging in activities for the promotion of education, training, research, professionalism and skill formation at all levels of the construction and other allied industries. Besides that, NICMAR’s objectives include undertaking special projects, collaboration with other organizations, dissemination of knowledge through seminars/conferences, etc; publishing literature, undertaking consultancy and taking necessary actions conducive to fulfilment of the objectives of the Society. Under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950, NICMAR was registered as a Public Trust in 1982The NICMAR Society was constituted in 1984 and registered under the Societies’ Registration Act, 1860. There is also Research Advisory Board and an Academic Advisory Council to provide advisory support in areas referred to these bodies. There is a well developed internal organizational structure with well defined roles and responsibilities for regular administration and management of the Institute

Research Work- NICMAR is very active in research and industrial problem solving in many areas and is recognized as “Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO)” by Dept of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology since 1990.
International Involvement -NICMAR received UNDP grant which enabled the Institute to involve eminent academics from MIT, USA; University of Michigan, USA; University of Loughborough, ILO, IIMA, other institutes in India and eminent practitioners from India in development of the first full fledged curriculum for a two year post graduate Programme in Advanced Construction Management in late eighties.
Highly Reputed- In last two decades, NICMAR has become a very well known name in the field of Construction Management and Research in India and abroad and added value to the business process by carrying out consultancy, research and training for the eminent construction companies.

Admission criteria for Post Graduate Program (Planning & Entrepreneurship) - Candidate should have Graduate and a bachelors degree in any discipline obtained through the 10+2+3 system or an equivalent qualification with a minimum aggregate of 50% (For SC, ST 45% marks) or equivalent CGPA of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India.
