About College
University of College was established in 2000 and it is affiliated to University of kerala.The college was established motive of becoming a model institution for technical education in the State. The college has also served as a model in several matters including the fee structure. Ever since its inception, the college has maintained a high level of academic performance and in the last three years, the students of the college have secured at least one top position each in the B.Tech examinations.
- The Training and Placement Unit collaborates with the Centre for Adult, Continuing Education and Extension to conduct Career guidance sessions. This has resulted in a good number of students getting placements well in advance of completion of their course
- The college also admits students under the NRI quota . Foreign students also choose this college for their studies

It Provides industrial training to students during their course of study. It Conducts seminars, workshops, soft skills training by eminent personalities. It organizes personality development programs, mock interviews and group discussions so that students can enhance communication skills.

University College of Engineering offers adequate infrastructure in terms of academics in form of classrooms, labs as well as co-curricular in terms of playgrounds, auditorium etc. at affordable fees. The college is inside Kariavattom University campus thus provides exposure to a diverse atmosphere. Support and help from other Departments are extended to the students. It has decent placements from Trivandrum Technopark which is in its near vicinity.

B.Tech admission criteria is students must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or 12th Standard from the recognized university with not less than 50% in Mathematics and 50% in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or Bio-technology or Computer Science or Biology collectively. Students must have passed diploma in Engineering awarded by the Board of Technical Education, Kerala or equivalent examination after undergoing an institutional course of at least three years securing a minimum of 50 % marks in the final diploma examination.
