PPG Institute of Technology (PPGIT), a college under the power of P. Perichi Gounder Memorial Education and Charitable Trust (PPG Trust), Coimbatore was established in the year 2008. The college was founded by Dr. L.P. Thangavelu, who is chairman of the college presently.The college’s motive is to provide highly qualified, eminent, committed and dedicated faculty with vast knowledge and experience who take personal interest in the development and moulding of each student. The vision of the college is to provide students an atmosphere with ethics and ethos of Indian culture.

The college is located in Vilankurichi, near Rathinagiri Road which is just 300 Metres from Sathy Road, Coimbatore, hence making it easier for travelling. Various courses offered by the college are MBA, MCA, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Science and Humanities, M.E. Computer Science etc.
