Kakatiya University College of Engineering and Technology, Warangal (formerly known as Kothagudem School of Mines) is the first mining college located in Telangana and the second mining college in India. The main objective of this University is to serve as a leading organization in providing higher education. It also aims to excel in the field of research and teaching through productivity and creativity. Inculcating competitive spirit and zeal among the students is the main vision of this University. It is dedicated towards achieving high standards in research and teaching.

The job oppurtunities are very very few as the college is the new one. So as it is a new college no companies are coming to our college even though it is a University campus college and the management is not taking care of it but in future you may get the companies in mends but as of now we get only few companies but select only few most of my seniors are doing their higher studies such as M.Tech and MBA.

This college infrastructure is not too good. Unfortunately we don't have any canteen. Library is there but it is in room not wide. There are no placements also. Laboratory for mechanical students isn't good. At there faculty is average.
