About College

Gargi Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) was established in 2008 by Shri Charookarn Education Society. It is affiliated by Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, Bhopal. The Institute has been named after the learned lady Vidushi Gargi, who herself was well versed in Vedas and Upnishads. The four year undergraduate programme leads to the degree of Bachelor of Engineering.  It is central India’s first ISO 9001:2008 certified Institute. It is affiliated to All India Council for Technical Education.

Library

The GIST library has a collection encompassing various Engineering and Non Engineering subjects. The library has over 7000 books, 60 journals & periodicals, and 90 digitized titles. The Library provides on line book search and booking facility (OPAC).

Computer Lab

GIST has the latest state-of-the-art IT infrastructure with a Software Lab and a specialized Network Lab with 2 Mbps, wireless broadband leased line, 24 Hour Internet connectivity. The Labs are certified by HCL (first ever in Central India) having XEON E5310 1.6G 8ML2 configured server. The newly formed Lab is powered by IBM, providing IBM SMART ACADEMY LAB for the better understanding of University syllabus, as RGPV (state university) has a recent tie up with IBM.
