About College
Department of Instrumentation Technology Kurukshetra University formally known as University Science Instrumentation Centre (USIC) was established in 1976 by UGC initially as a Central Instrumentation facility at Kurukshetra University.
- Recently the name of the department has been changed as Institute of Instrumentation Engineering with USIC remaining as one of the constituents of the IIE.
- In 1995 for the first time in Haryana region AICTE approved 4-year B.Tech (Instrumentation) course was started and in the year 2006 M.Tech (Instrumentation) was started.
- The Institution also focuses towards strengthening the R & D activities to facilitate technology transfer for betterment of community as a whole including Tribal Development Program and to become a major supplier of technology and technological services at National and International Level
- Vision of the department is “To develop the Institute as a Centre of Excellence in learning and teaching for generating trained manpower of the highest quality comparable to the very best in the world and inculcating entrepreneurial avenues to cater to the needs of industry and society at large for sustainable national growth”

What is the placement of this University ?

Only one company came to our college which is a big deal since it gives good salary package. But only 3 students were selected. Other students get into off campus placement exams where only 4 students were selected.

Provides with all working labs and latest and easy and fun to learn with lab equipments. We have 70% Ph.D faculty teaching. Every year a number of national fests and events are organized and hosted within the univeraity campus providing students with greate exposure and opportunities Draw backs. Students have to take initiative every time Plan amd organize events Teachers will not initiate But will help when students takes initiative.

Admission criteria for 1) B.Tech (Instrumentation Engineering) - 10+2 examination from recognized Board or University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the following subjects Chemistry, Bio-Tech. and Computer Science. 2) M.Tech (Instrumentation Engineering) - B.E. or B.Tech or its equivalent in Instrumentation or Electronics and Instrumentation or Electronics or Electrical and Electronics or Electronics and Communication, Electrical & Instrumentation & Control Engineering with at least 55% marks in aggregate OR M.Sc Electronic Sc. or Electronics or Physics with specialization in Electronics or Instrumentation with at least 55% marks in aggregate.

Only one company came to our college like Fluor daniel which is a big deal since it gives 5.30 lpa but only 3 students were selected. Other students get into off campus placement exams of infosys where only 4 students were selected at 3.30lpa. Students also gave Wipro written test but none were selected.
