About College
KIT’s College of Engineering, Kolhapur Located in the industrial city of Kolhapur, Kolhapur Institute of Technology was established in 1983 and holds the honour of being the first private institute to be set in the state of Maharashtra. Since, its inception, the institute has been blessed by a governing body of experienced academicians, which has helped it in establishing its identity as an institute of great repute in the field of Technology and management. The institute has been awarded with “A” status by the Govt. of Maharashtra for delivering excellence in the field of academics and infrastructure. Spread over an area of 30 acres, and at a sufficient distance, though not very far off from the industrial hub, the institute is also known for its grand architectural blend of old and modern design and its environmental-friendly initiatives inside the campus.

Our College Affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur, College life was wonderful and enjoyed a lot. Learn new technologies from the Institute. Spent 4 years of my life and were worth of it. Faculty is very good and helping in nature. Placement is very good. Need to improve a bit on exposure to industries. Labs and equipment are new up to date and there are various events on the department as well as college level. Infrastructure is also good and all departments are very helpful to each other.
