Entrance Exam & Admissions
The entrance exam is a 3 hour, objective type paper comprising of 150 questions on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. One should have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in class XII. The question paper is mix bag of easy, medium and difficult questions. I personally found some questions in Physics and Maths to be calculation intensive. A score in the range of 50%-60% will ensure you getting a branch of your choice.

The college has a dedicated Training and placement office which looks after the various placement and internships related activities. Students who are focused and having good academic scores do get internship opportunities in private/ government organisations as well as government institutes. Few even manage to secure internships with international universities. However it all depends on the efforts you take. The college should take more initiatives on this front. The College has an overall placement record of almost 84%. Placements are good but can always be improved. Most of the batch gets a placement with mass recruiters(Avg salary 3.5 lpa). If you are good in studies then you can surely land a job with top recruiters who visit the campus(offering 6-9 lpa).
Fees & Scholarships
The yearly academic fees for the course is around Rs 7500/- (yes seven thousand five hundred only !). The fee scan be paid online or deposited at fee counter. Charges for hostel and mess are extra but are minimal. Students coming from weak financial background can apply for scholarships. Those who wish to take a loan can easily avail them through banks which are situated on campus.
Academics & Faculty
Classes are conducted on a regular basis with minimum requirement of attendance being 75 %. All the courses have been accredited by NBA. The course is designed in such a way that it gives students ample time to pursue other interests. The college puts a lot on emphasis on delivering quality education and has excellent faculty. The college has an impressive student to teacher ration of 10:1. The faculty are very helpful and support you in your endeavors.
College Infrastructure
The University has been awarded grade ‘A’ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), which recently conducted an assessment exercise at the campus. The college is spread over 100 acres of lush green campus and is situated in midst the University. Almost all the classrooms are now equipped with modern teaching aids and have comfortable seats. The entire campus is WiFi enabled. The labs are very well equipped and provide with the best equipment. The College Library has air-conditioned reading rooms . Apart from main library of college, all departments have their own libraries/ seminars. The Book bank section provides books on hire basis to all students at a very affordable cost. Apart from this, students have access to the University's central library. The university boasts of on the best sports infrastructure in India. It has its own cricket , football and hockey ground. Lawn tennis, basketball and badminton courts. Indoor sports facility and a gym. It has two swimming pools and a horse riding club.
Food Services & Hostel
The quality of food is not the strongest point of hostel mess and it can be improved. The mess is hygienic and serves both veg and non-veg food. The rooms are well furnished with cupboards and each student is provided with a bed, study table and chair. All hostels have indoor game facility like table tennis, chess and carom. Mine even had a snooker table! Every hostel has round the clock WiFi , TV Room , reading room and a canteen. All the hostel in the university have large lush green lawns (take it as a added bonus!)

Admission is through an All India Entrance Exam conducted by AMU. Eligibility criteria requires minimum 50% in 10th and 12th boards and you can give the exam only within three years of clearing your 12th. The cut off for counselling is generally around 70/150.

Around 80% students are placed every year with highest CTC offered around 9 lakhs and average CTC 4.5 lakhs. TCS and Wipro are some of the mass recruiters which visit ZHCET. There are not much internship opportunities though and students have to look for internships themselves.
Fees & Scholarships
The fees submission process is very easy as there is online facility. Also the fees for the entire 4 years is around 20,000 rupees, so it is very affordable. The toppers in every class also get scholarships.
Academics & Faculty
ZHCET has highly experienced and knowledgeable faculty. 75% attendance is compulsory to sit in the semester examinations. The faculty is very supporting and always ready to help.
College Infrastructure
Infrastructure facilities are amongst the best in the country. We have one of the largest libraries in the country. Also every department has its own seminar library. We have all kinds of sports facilities, including cricket ground, football, two hockey fields (one astro turf), two full size swimming pools, gym, roller hockey, rink, baskteball, volleyball and even more. There is even a horse riding club and a mountaineering club. The campus is huge with lush green lawns. We also have a full wifi campus.
Food Services & Hostel
Hostels are very good. Mess food is only average at best, but all other facilities in the hostels are upto the mark. The only thing is that there is a timing restriction in girls' hostels.
