Shri Prince Shivaji Maratha Boarding House’s (SPSMBHs) College of Architecture was founded by the Boarding house of Shri Prince Shivaji Maratha. This boarding house was established in the year 1920 with the inspirational ideas of late Chhatrapati Rajarshi Shahu who belonged to Kolhapur. This is the best college of Architecture in India, which has produced extremely intelligent architects over the years.
Under the dynamic principal late Arch. Vijay Sinha S. Shinde, the college has been able to attain a glorious past as well as bright future. His dedication, devotion and hard work towards the growth of college is deeply acknowledged even today.

The basic qualification for Architectural course is that the student must acquire minimum 50% in Aggregate in 10+2 equivalent examination with subjects Mathematics & English Compulsory. The admission to all architectural colleges in Maharashtra is organized through admitting authority appointed by director of Technical Education, Govt. of Maharashtra. An aptitude test is conducted and a merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in 10+2 examinations and in the aptitude test.
