About College
KCG College of Technology is a christian minority institution which was established in the year 1998. The college affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and approved by AICTE and NBA. The college offers UG and PG courses in Engineering
- The College has been certified as an ISO 9001:2000 Institution
- The college is sprawling over 50 acres at Karapakkam, which is about 10 km from Adyar on the Old Mahabalipuram Road, the IT corridor of Chennai
- The college has well-equipped laboratories in all branches and also has close interactions with the Industries
Placement:
- Infosys Technologies recruited 99 students with a conversion ratio of 46.5% in 2011
- 18 Companies have recruited 170 students and percentage of placed students is 65%
Extra-Curricular:
- NSS- NSS is functioning in the college since 2004. NSS Unit conducted one week special camp at Karapakkam Panchayat School which included a motivation programme, medical camp (first-aid awareness), computer awareness training programme, campus cleaning work, where more than 200 students were benefitted. It conducts activities like Blood Donation Camp,Cancer Awareness and Hepatitis Camp etc.
- NCC- NCC was founded in 2009 in the college. The Cadet regularly take part in the Inter-Collegiate NCC competitions. KCG NCC cadet was selected as one of the 20 best cadets from the 1 Tamil Nadu Battalion unit and participated in the ‘Madras Republic Day Camp (MRDC)’ parade on 26 Jan’13 at Marina
- Sports- Students participate in various State level and Inter Collegiate competitions. Volleyball Women Team Won the First Place and the consecutive third time in the Tamilnadu Inter Engineering Sports Volleyball Tournament held on 13 to 15 Feb 2013 at Adhiyaman College of Engineering College, Hosur. Volleyball Men team won the First place and received Six Thousand Rupees Cash Prize in the "PITS SPORTIVA12" On 31stAug to 2nd Sep 2012 at PITS, Thanjavur
- Cultural Activities- Students participated actively in various inter-college cultural events held by various colleges nationwide, like Techno Cultural Fest Elastoplaz 2013 conducted by Madras Institute of Technology, Saraang 2013 conducted by IIT Madras. Festivals like Christmas and Onam were celebrated on a grand scale
- KCG Toastmasters Club- The members of this club meet every week. Such meetings help them to become better speakers, develop their interpersonal skills and hone their leadership skills
