About College

College of Engineering, Pune(COEP) is an autonomous engineering college established in 1854. It is third oldest engineering college in Asia. It was started as “Poona Engineering class and Mechanical School”

• It is one of the few colleges established by British
• Admissions in B.tech courses are based on  JEE mains marks and in M.tech are based on GATE score
• Many college students have started their own startups after graduation

Abhiyanta: it is college’s annual magazine. In this articles are written by college students, alumni and faculty. Articles are mainly written in English, Hindi and Marathi.

Facilities:

Hostel: College has separate hotels for boys and girls. There are total ten hostels in the campus out of which 8 are for boys and 2 for girls. Hostel s have seating capacity of 1098 boys and 556 girls students.

Boys Hostels are: Purandar,  Shiveri, Panhalgad, Torna, Raigad, Pratapgad, Sajjangad and Vishalgad.

Girls Hostels are: Jijaoo and Kondhana .

Library: College has well equipped library with automated digital system.  Library has  64124 Books, 30818 titles and 8632 journals.

Auditorium: College has state- of- art auditorium which can accommodate 1000 students. Various lectures by eminent speakers are organised.

Events and Festivals:

Mindspark: It is national level annual technical fest of college. About 8000 students participate and equal number of spectators attends the fest.

Zest: It is college's national level sports meet.

Regatta: It is boat racing event.
