About College

Giani Zail Singh College of Engineering and Technology, Punjab Technical University Campus, Bathinda was the first technical institute established by Government of Punjab. The foundation stone was laid by His Excellency Sidharth Shankar Ray, then Governor of Punjab in 1989. This College has been made as constituent college of Punjab Technical University in 2011 with the aim to put emphasis on Post Graduate studies and Doctoral Research. It is now with the objective to play pivotal role in producing technical manpower being the second campus of Punjab Technical University

• Vision of the college is” To pursue for excellence in  scientific and technical education and research' for the benefit of mankind”

• College is nearly 7 km from the railway station and 5 km from the bus stand
• GZS PTU Campus, Bathinda has the distinction of being the oldest degree level technical education institute established by Government of Punjab

Festivals -

• Tarranum - It is Annual Fest of the college. It is two days of thorough celebration whole of the college is involved in it. It includes two days and two night’s celebration.
• Antragini 2011- Every year IIT Colleges celebrate their Annual fest on the National level and all of the colleges from whole India are invited to participate and show best in them
• PTU youth fest- Youth-Fest is organized every year on the State level. All the college affiliated to PTU Jallandhar participates in events like Singing, Folk dances like Giddha, Bhangra, Jhoomar etc. It is a 4 days festival
