About College

Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE), Bangalore was established in 1979 by Sri R Dayananda Sagar and is run by Mahatma Gandhi Vidyaa Peeta Trust today.

• The college is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) Belgaum.
• The Institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
• The college is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). It is an integral part of Dayananda Sagar Institutions (DSI), which has been into education for close to half a century offering all major professional courses.
• The Institute is located on 28 acres (110,000 m²) of land.
• The College with 1850 systems, student information system (SIS) and several Digital classrooms was one of the first education centers to go WIFI in the country.

Research facilities and industry interaction: It has a Biochemical Engineering Laboratory with activities funded by All India Council Technical Education (AICTE), Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST), and National Aviation Fuel Board (NAFB). It also has tie-ups with German Research Center and Europe Research Center. Research projects from DST, AICTE, DBT & DRDO have been granted to departments of DSCE.

International Students: Foreign students are from countries like China, Iraq, Iran, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Tanzania, Rwanda, Britain, Nigeria, Indonesia, Australia and Kuwait.

• CIL – The Centre aims to impart innovative soft skill training programs to enable individuals to become champion leaders in their endeavor and to sustain a high level of performance at the individual and the organizational level.
• Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Center (IEDC): To create, mentor and nurtures entrepreneurs who in turn create employment opportunities.

Extra-Curricular Activities:

• Aura: The student body under the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Center (IEDC), DSI, is one of the most active student groups.
• Quest: The official Quiz club of the Engineering College, founded during Furore 13, hosts both inter and intra college level quizzes.
• Techspark: The official student tech-forum is one of the largest student organizations in DSCE.
• SAE: The SAE club in is one of the largest student clubs by membership in India. 

Facilities:

Library: The Central Library is well-established and maintained. Computers with hi-speed internet facilities and photocopying facilities make up for good add-on features in the library.
