About College

Dhemaji College, the oldest and premier institution of higher learning in the district of Dhemajiwas established in 1965 and it is affiliated to Dibrugarh University. It imparts education from higher secondary to degree level in Arts and Science streams along with different parallel oriented courses with an experienced and efficient teaching staff. The college offers major (honours) courses in the Arts and Science stream. It has been accredited by NAAC.

• The college has an Automatic Weather Information Centre under the sponsorship of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Bangalore and Assam Science, Technology and Environment Council (ASTEC), Guwahati
• The college has been conferred as College of Centre With Potential for Excellence (CPE) status by the UGC
• Dhemaji College also offers Post Graduate, Bachelor Degree, Certificate and Diploma programmes in different subjects in the form of Open and Distance Learning system under Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi and Krishna Kanta Handique State Open University (KKHSOU), Guwahati.
