About College
Devi Charan Barua Girls College, the first women’s college of upper Assam in Jorhat, India was established in 1955. It is a premier college of Assam. The aim of the college is to provide higher education to the women folk of Jorhat and its rural neighborhood by inculcating their innate talents and qualities and unfolding their potentialities through curricular and extra-curricular activities. It is affiliated to Dibrujarh University. The College has been accreditation by NAAC with B Grade.

- National Cadet Corps: DCB Girls’ College NCC is affiliated to the 64 Assam Girls’ Battalion. About 130 cadets are enrolled in the army wing which offers training to students in personality development
