JU has excellent placement records. Any day comparable to mid range NITs and for some branches even to the top NITs.
Studying in JU will give you the best ROI for any engineering college in India. Monthly fees is Rs 200 ( two hundered only).
Curriculum needs some modernization. More faculties from other regions of the country may be hired. Research is good. More tie-ups with companies may have been better.
You can't ask for 5-star infrastructure when you do engineering within Rs 10 K. But, JU still has a decent looking campus. Labs may need some upgradation and there is no Wi-Fi for students. Library is good, one of the largest.
Food is decent. Cleanliness is average. Furniture in rooms is ancient relics. You may bring in some of yours for your stay in main hostel.
