The Himgiri Zee University is one of the largest universities of the nation which has been initiated by a private firm Essel Group. The university has been quite significant in proving effective and quality education. The idea of setting up a university was initiated by Shri Subhash Chandra who is the Chairman of Essel Group of Industries and Zee Telefilms. The university was incorporated with a vision to initiate vocationalisation of higher education in India. The main idea was to provide international level research and training facilities to the students here in own country so that it can help its growth.
