About College

Tamil Nadu Open University is the first open university of Tamil Nadu. The university aim to provide benefit to section of people who have not been able to access higher education. University has done remarkably well to cater the need of education of 5lac students with help of 100 programmes through 13 schools and 7 divisions. It has a well developed network of students support services with 4 University Co-ordination Centre, 165 Computer Programme Centres, 152 Learning Resource Centre ,195 Community Colleges and 10 Special Centres in Prisons. University has also collaborated with EduKart for developing Virtual Study Centre.

Scholarships: This University offers different scholarships to those students who want to learn more and more so to encourage them in learning. Various scholarships are:

• This is the only university which offers their students the scholarship of Rs.4500 each.
• It secures the scholarships for its students from the South Asian Foundation (SAF).
