About College
Bharath University was established in 1984 as Bharath Institute of Science and Technology. The institute was awarded the deemed university status in 2003 and hence the name was changed to Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research. Bharath University was established under the aegis of Sri Lakshmi Ammal Educational Trust with the aim of imparting higher knowledge in Science and Technology to the aspiring boys and girls so that they can emerge as competent scientists, engineers and technologists of repute.
- The mission of Bharath University is to create world-class environand state-of-the-art facilities for a promising future Accreditation by NAAC (UGC, Govt. of India)
- Bharath University offers 39 Undergraduate programs and 139 Postgraduate programs
- More than one third of the students are women in the University
- 14 Schools of Studies and 7 Centers of Excellence promote research among faculty and students
- Institution constantly strive to provide an excellent academic environment for the benefit of students and faculty so that they will acquire a technological competence synonymous with human dignity and values

Bharath University provoded Excellent faculty, and has a good academic record. They are friendly and help us in clearing the doubts. If we want they will teach the problem for many number of times. They provide best hostel facilities both for the boys and girls in separate & good food Quality. They provide internship to all the students in the pre final year to get the industrial exposure related to the technical background and the employability so that when they finish the course all the students will get the job placement very easily. Hence they can attain the 100 % placement. They also encourage the students extra curricular activities and also sports skills so that they are very much getting their skills developed. They provide scholarship for the students while admission into the first based on their hsc marks and also give loan for the students who need it.they also provide scholarship for every year based on their previous years performance.

According to the placement cell in our university.There were about 93% of students got placements in the last academic year.and the previous year of 90%.The companies like BOSCH,VIRTUSA,QUEST,MRF,HCL,DATA64,VOLTECH are some of the companies comes for placement.

For B.Tech program students passed in 10+2 or its equivalent with minimum 50% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry For Bio Enginering Departments a Pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with Minimum 50% aggregate in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics,Biology. Admission will be purely on the basis of the performance in the Bharath Engineering Entrance Examination Conducted by Bharath Institute of Higher Education & Research.
