About College
Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT) was established 1999 by the bifurcation of Rajasthan Agriculture University. It was established to develop agriculutural eduacation in the state
- It is the second Agricultural University of the Rajasthan
- MPUAT comprises of Agricultural Research Stations, Agricultural Research Sub Stations, Livestock Research Station, Dry Land Farming Research Station and Krishi Vigyan Kendras
- The courses that are being taught by the University have been are accredited by AICTE and ICAR
- It has been recognized by the UGC
- MPUAT Service Area has 11 districts lying in the south and south-eastern part of Rajasthan including Sirohi, Udaipur, Banswara, Dungarpur, Rajsamand, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Kota, Bundi, Baran and Jhalawar

Reservations
- Reservation of 3% seats is applicable to each physically challenged, Defense killed and Ex-Service Man
- Reservation quota is determined on the basis of intake capacity in a Programme and in P.G. Programme.
- 1 5% seats in B. Sc. Forestry and B.Sc. Horticulture and 25% seats in M.Sc. (Horticulture) are reserved for ICAR nominee

The university has 2 units of NSS. Cadets participate in numerous activities like Army Attachment Camp, National Integration Camp, etc. at different places and winning prizes, medals. |

The college has well-equipped library with collection of 150710 books, 128 journals, 1653 CD Rom. There are around 2981 journals (scientific) that are available through online system |

The university facilitates networking of 2-Mbps (1:1) leased line through Cisco 1700 router, Cyberoam 500i UTM, Cisco PIX 515E firewall and Cisco catalyst 3550 and ISDN line connectivity |

The university has hostel facilities for both boys and girls. It has 10 hostels out of which 2 are girls; hostels. |

Pratap- It is the youth festival celebrated in the campus.

Maharana Pratap University of Agricultural and Technology Faculty Experience is very good & Quality and method of teaching is very good. Our University offer scholarship & Internship. Maharana Pratap University of Agricultural and Technology Good placement record 50% of students get placed in last year. Alumni network is very good. Hostel and Mess available & Food quality is average.

Admission in Maharana Pratap University of Agricultural and Technology Candidate Must have passed the Senior School Examination conducted by a statutory Board of 12 years study under 10+2 pattern of Secondary Education with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects or any other examination recognized equivalent.

What is the admission process ?

1. Admission to B.Sc. Ag. and M.Sc. (Ag.) programme is done through a competitive examination (JET and Pre P.G. Test) for which application are to be submitted whenever requisitioned through a notification in news papers, circulars and displays on the notice boards. Admission to B.Sc. (Ag.) programme are also done on merit and on self financing basis as notified by the university.
