University of Technology and Management (UTM) is sponsored by Hydrocarbons Education & Research Society (HERS).It is a New Age University imparting technical and management programs at the graduate and postgraduate level.
The University is established under UTM Act, 2010 and under Meghalaya Act (No. 3 of 2011) legislated by Meghalaya Assembly and notified vide Meghalaya Govt. in 2011.
