Formerly known as the University of Pune, Savitribai Phule Pune University is a public university for higher studies in Western India that was established under the Poona University Act in 1949. It has currently 46 academic institutions with about 307 recognized research institutes and 612 affiliated colleges.
The campus of the college is spread over an area of 411 acres on Ganeshkhind Road, Ganeshkhind in Pune, Maharashtra.
