About College
Lakshmibai National University of Physical Education(LNIPE) was started as Lakshmibai College of Physical Education in 1964. In 1973 it was renamed to Lakshmibai National College of Physical Education and after 9 year it gained autonomous institute status. In 2000 it becomes a deemed university as declared by Govt. of India. Now it is managed by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. University has 153 campus situated at Shaktinagar, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. University is accredited by NAAC and is approved by UGC. It is also an ISO 9001:2008, ISO 18001:2007 and ISO 14001:2004 Certification.

Facilities:
Library: University Library is unique in its collection as it holds around 60000 books related to physical education by various well known Indian and foreign authors. Library is equipped with Xerox machine, Computers and micro film readers for its users. Library’s periodical section has 4550+ back volumes of journals. Library currently subscribes to 45 international and 20 international journals.
Hostels: University has provides accommodation facilities to both girls and boys separately. Boys hostel has capacity of 100 students and girls hostel has accommodation for 200 girls.
Sports Fields: University has all state of art sports facilities. University has Cricket Field, Hockey field, tennis court, badminton court, Kabbadi stadium, wrestling halls, 400 meters track, etc.
PYKKA Resource Centre: It was formed with an aim of disseminating the sports culture across the nation. Centre organizes various competitions on various levels and provides sports facilities to rural areas to train the students willing to make career in sports.
Scholarship: PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child
