The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode established in 1996, was the fifth IIM setup by the Government of India in collaboration with the state government of Kerala
Academic Overview:
Institute also provides students exchange programs with all across the globe and various research programs.
International Exchange: IIM Kozhikode offers student exchange programmes with following institutes-
Research: Research projects are funded either through IIMK's 'Small Grant Research Project' scheme, by external sources such as the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India, Government of Kerala or through collaborations with foreign universities/research institutes.
Extracurricular Activities:
There are various clubs and committees made to perform functioning into different areas. Besides student committees, the institute also has student interest groups for various fields of management like marketing, finance and various hobby clubs.

The Cultural Committee of IIM Kozhikode. The committee's premier event is the Annual Cultural Festival, Echoes conducted in the month of January. |
ENTREPRENEURSHIP CELL |
The Entrepreneurship cell (E Cell) of IIM Kozhikode provides a platform for students interested in entrepreneurial careers. The E Cell's flagship annual fest, the National E Summit brings together entrepreneurs, industry stalwarts and mentors together on one platform. |
INDUSTRY INTERACTION CELL |
The Industry Interaction Cell (IIC) acts as the link that connects IIM Kozhikode to the corporate world. Through this initiative IIMK has witnessed the presence of speakers like Dr. Shashi Tharoor, Dr. D. Subba Rao, Dr. J.J. Irani, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam among others. |
MADCOM |
The Merchandising and Design Committee (MADCOM) of IIMK was formed in 2008. MADCOM helps all the students in their journey at the Institute with education loans, laptops, suits and computer accessories. |
KONQUEST |
It is the knowledge committee of IIMK. It also assists the Students Placements Committee in the Summer Internships and Final Placements process by conducting GD-PI workshops and inviting, throughout the year. |
MEDIA CELL |
Media cell is the student committee responsible for the publicity and branding of IIM Kozhikode across various media channels. Media Cell is also responsible for the media planning of IIMK's flagship events, in collaboration with other student committees |
MESS COM |
The Mess Com of IIM Kozhikode is intended to plan, organize and the complete functioning of the student mess and canteens. It deals with all the day to day operational issues of mess and canteen and managing mess bills. |
Placement Description:
IIM Kozhikode has completed final placements for the graduating batch of 2014, with 355 offers being made to 344 participating students. There was a greater than 10% increase in annual compensation figures from the previous year, and a marked increase of 25% in the number of offers made per recruiter. The season saw offers being made by 108 recruiters, including 39 new recruiters. The highest annual domestic salary offered was INR 32 lakhs. The number of Pre Placement Offers (PPOs) broke new ground this year, with the figure witnessing a 37% increase over the previous year.

Facilities:
IIMK provides all the requisite facilities to the students. The infrastructure of IIMK consists of classrooms equipped with modern teaching tools, a world-class library, an auditorium, computer centers, Hostels, and Guesthouses, and various sports and recreation facilities
Academic Facilities |
Classrooms are equipped with computers, multimedia projectors and motorized screens, OHPs, Wireless Presenters, and other audio-visual tools to ensure that learning is as interactive as possible. There is also a separate high tech room which is equipped with the state-of-the-art ISDN and IP based videoconferencing facilities.

Computing Facilities |
All the buildings including hostels on the campus are part of the campus LAN. The entire campus has been Wi-Fi enabled to provide mobility to the users in accessing various services available on the institute's network. All the guesthouses and residences are connected via a Wi-fi backbone. |
Auditorium |
There is a separate Hall with a seating capacity of about 250 that is used for conducting seminars, conferences, culture programs, students' events, and other important events of the institute. In addition to this, there is also a new auditorium with a seating capacity of over 400 people. |
Hostels |
The institute has 13 well-designed hostels capable of accommodating over 800 students. Except this institute has 6 air-conditioned guest houses which can accommodate about 60 guests at a time. |
Indian Business Museum |
IIMK in 2010 created a museum on business history which is first of its kind. The museum spanning 23000 sq. ft. features a large model of the Uru, an ancient ship that was used for trade and commerce between Indian and the rest of the world, and pavilions by Indian companies like Tata, Godrej, Reliance, and Infosys. |
Sports, Recreation and Other Facilities |
Various facilities for sports - both indoor and outdoor are available for use by the students. Other facilities include a gymnasium and basic medical facilities. |
Festivals:
Backwaters-It is the annual management fest. Competitive events range across marketing, finance, operations, strategy, systems, human resources, social responsibility, and entrepreneurship. Backwaters are organized by the various student committees.
Echoes- It is the annual intercollegiate cultural event. Echoes' includes a wide variety of events like Music, Dance, Theatre, Quizzes, and Literary Events spread over a period of three days.
Sangram- It is an annual sport meet with IIM Bangalore with each institute hosting the event in alternate years.
