Sri Siddhartha University is a Deemed to be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. Earlier, it was known as Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education. The university offers Bachelor, Master and Research Programmes in Medical and Engineering field. It has 3 affiliated colleges including Sri Siddhartha Medical College, Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology and Sri Siddhartha Dental College.

• The university is associated with 1350 bedded hospital with 12 major operation theaters in addition to minor operation theaters
• The university is sponsored by Sri Siddhartha Education Society
• For admission in courses of university, candidates need to qualify All India Entrance Test. The Candidates are admitted to various courses on the basis of merit in the entrance test
