Manipal University is a name to reckon with not just in India, but all over the world. It is the deemed university Today it is with 24 professional institutions in engineering, medicine, management and humanities. The University is making a strong headway in research as well.

• Spread over 600 acres of green expanse, the University is home to 28,000 students pursuing undergraduate and post graduate programs in diverse subjects. The University has a strong alumni network of over 94,000 members.
• The infrastructure have air-conditioned lecture halls, skills lab, air-conditioned hostels, and multi-cuisine food court. The state-of-the-art health sciences library is fully air-conditioned, accommodates 1300 learners and has over 62,000 books and over 600 journals.
• An ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001: 2004 certified University, it is home to many top 10 ranked institutions of India.  Manipal University has won the prestigious IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality Award and International Asia Pacific Quality Award during 2007- 2008.
• Manipal University campus covers 313 acres of land with 20, 000 inhabitants and is built on lateritic rock. There has always been a well-defined focus on enhancing the quality of life in and around Manipal. As part of this larger mission, it has been the constant endeavor of the Manipal group to make Manipal a ‘‘Sustainable Eco-campus’’. 
• Established in 1986 with sheer vision and whole hearted acumen of providing world class courses for honing the academic skills, Manipal University, Karnataka has its mission of enriching and enhancing global leadership for all.
• The host of different groups through Manipal University has been a milestone achievement for many conglomerations of Universities, including MCOMS Nepal, the American University of Antigua and other international institutions of repute.
• The University has sprawling, state of the art campuses each in Dubai and Malaysia.

Alumni:-

• Manipal University has 20 institutions covering over 270 courses has turned out a large number of graduates and postgraduates over the last five and a half decades.The University desires to have every single alumnus. They are individual ambassadors for Manipal University. 
• Manipal University alumni affairs office has been set up with “STTAR” (Service, Teaching, Training, Administration and Research) as its core principles. This alumni portal will help both the university and the alumni to get in touch with each other. The alumni can get any kind of information about the university, fellow students, juniors, conferences, alumni meets, featured alumni, success stories of alumni using this portal. We would like to share all that and more with every one of those who have fond memories of the university.

Students Clubs:-

• Utsav: The Annual Cultural Festival is the event held in the University. This is a week- long programme wherein students show their talents by participating in various competitions like Creative Writing, Classical Instrumental, Vocal and Dance, Pot Pourri, Cultural Parade, Light Music, Quiz, Cartooning, Painting, Collage, Debate, Extempore, Mime, Street Play, Rangoli, Mimicry, Western Dance / Music, Clay Modeling, Installation, Anthakshari, Fashion Show, Poetry, JAM, MAD ADS and Creative Dance. 
• Mega Event: Popular shows and performances by celebrities
• Spic Macay: Indian Classical, folk music and dance performances / lecture demonstrations by artistes of international repute are held. There is an active chapter of SPIC MACAY (Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture among Youth).
• Gunjan: It is a forum dedicated to Indian music floated with the aim of bringing together music enthusiasts on a common platform to enjoy and appreciate music regularly.

• Manipal Film Study Centre: Available world cinema which is non-mainstream and engages members of the University family in serious study of film language, film theory and film criticism by organizing film shows, film festivals, film appreciation courses.
• Manipal University Literary Club: This Club is for Humanities and was inaugurated on 5th Feb, 2008 by Dr. M.S. Valiathan, at counseling hall, Manipal.edu building.

Hostel:

• Manipal University boasts of a versatile hostel and accommodation system. The features of the hostel are quite unique and are ranked superior when compared to the peers. The hostel is divided into three campuses.
  • There are separate hostels for dental, medical and Para medical hostels as well.
  • There are separate hostels for men and women
