Kuvempu University is a young affiliating University in Karnataka, was established in 1987 under the Karnataka State University Act 1976. It is a University with a distinctive academic profile, blending in itself commitment to rural ethos and a modern spirit. The university offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in wide range of disciplines
- It is recognized by UGC and Govt. of Karnataka

- The main campus of the university is located at Shankaraghatta at a distance of 28 kms. from Shimoga

Many Post Graduate departments of the university have been organising campus interviews to help students to find placement. The university has now established a full fledged Placement Cell in order to monitor placement services for the students.

Kuvempu University is UGC recognized. It Spread across 230 acres of land. It promotes research activities among students. University provides all these facilities like Modern and Well stocked Library, Medical facility, Cafeteria and Mess facility, Indoor and Outdoor Sports Facility. It organises seminars, special lectures and workshops throughout the year.

College provides internship in his intern partner companies. You will have to face an interview, aptitude test and technical test. If you clear all level then company will accept you as an intern. It was great time for me. Every day was different and continued to offer new opportunities and experiences.
