The department collects manuscripts of all kinds and preserves them so that they could be studied to know about the past. |
Department of Ancient History and Archaeology |
Since the time of its inception the department has been bringing about the programs that it was initially built for and it is remarkably doing so by emphasizing more on the history, archaeology and culture studies of Karnataka. |
Department of Sculpture and Paintings |

The department is focused mostly on the research works of the tribal life of Karnataka. The department is sheltered in a mini-campus having hut-like structures displaying the life of the tribes. |
