Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeswara University is providing the best of education related to issues and studies concerning with the world of medicine and the like. It was up in the year 2008 Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. The university offers UG, PG, Ph.D. and Certificate Courses in various field of Medical Science

• The J.S.S University, being a deemed University, is the one of the best in the field of medicines and other related studies.
• It is also a part of JSS Mahavidyapeetha that is running a number of institutions dedicated for imparting education
• Bangalore is celebrated for it’s a very salubrious and cool climate and also has some educational institution that is providing the best of education
• There are very qualified staffs who are also very experienced. There are lab which are very well equipped and have all the modern aids and assistances.
• The various courses (graduate and post-graduate) have been recognized by the WHO, Medical Council of India, Sri Lanka Medical Council and General Medical Council (UK).

• J.S.S. University has been affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka (it was during 1995-96)

NSS:

Launched in Mahatma Gandhi’s Centenary year, 1969, this scheme is providing service that is aimed at the development of the students’ personality by providing various community services. The NSS volunteers of the college actively participated in various activities such as:

• Disaster Management –A Holistic Perspective programme
•  Donate Blood to the Government Head Quarters Hospital Ooty in case of any emergencies,
• Conducted Rally on Promoting Traditional Millets Cultivation by 50 NSS Volunteers
•  Awareness programme on Women Empowerment and Security etc.
• Health checkup camp

Sports:

University organizes sports activities at regional, state, inter-university level. Thus, this University provides for ample scope to play and participate in the various sporting events.

Library:

The University has a very good and well-equipped library. It is having many information centres. The students and the faculty members are getting benefitted from the library.
