About College
Christ University is a Privately Owned University of Bangalore, Karnataka that was established as a college in 1969. Under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India it was declared as a Deemed University on 22 July 2008. It is the 1st indigenous Syrian Catholic religious congregation in India that is managed by the priests of Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI).
- It offers various programs such as including Law, Humanities, Business Administration, Commerce, Management, Sciences, and Social Sciences on an undergraduate, postgraduate level with professional courses in Business Management, Computer Application, Hotel Management, Mass Communication, Social Work, Engineering, and Tourism fields.
- It is the 1st institution of Karnataka that was accredited for quality education by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council).
- Christ College is rated continuously among the Top 10 Indian Educational Institutions for their innovative and modern curriculum, insistence on academic discipline, imparting of holistic education. Due to the creative and dedicated faculty of the college, it became the most preferred educational institution in Bangalore city within the 1st three decades.
Campuses: -
- The 2 campuses of the university are located on Hosur road and towards Mysore road. The eco-friendly main campus of the university is spread over 25 acres in the central part of Bangalore city on the extension of Hosur Road- NH 7.
- The Kengari campus is on 75 acres of lush green land and almost 25 KM away from the main campus on the Bangalore-Mysore highway SH 17.

Awards:-
Award for Excellence: The award for excellence is instituted to recognize students who excel in academics and are toppers in their respective combinations. The award will be presented to students from all three years and combinations and for all PG Courses.
Award for proficiency: The award for proficiency is in recognition of students who are diligent in their academics and holistic education. This is a nominative award based on the recommendation of the heads of the departments. The decision of the office is final.
Award for Co-curricular Activities: The award is instituted for all final year students who have actively participated in sports/cultural and club activities during the course of their studies. This is a nominative award based on the recommendation of the concerned teacher in charge. The selection list will be displayed in the month of March.

Scholarships:-
Merit Scholarship: The merit scholarship is initiated for meritorious students based on their performance at the pre-entry level and subsequent performance in various tests and examinations.
The scholarship will consist of a percentage refund of fees. Each combination will be considered for two merit scholarships. Combinations with more than one section will be considered proportionately.
The fee refund/reduction will be considered as follows.
Students in the fee range of:
- Upto to Rs. 10,000 - 50%
- Rs. 10,000-Rs 25,000 - 25%
- Above Rs. 25,000 - 10%
Scholarship for Financial Assistance: Students choosing to avail of this scholarship must apply to the Office of Awards and Scholarships with supporting documents.
Students seeking this scholarship at the time of admission are expected to fill up a separate application for a scholarship available along with their main application form and submit it to the Office of Scholarships for perusal. The scholarship committee will then interview them on the allotted dates, and their concessions will be decided prior to the payment of their fees. The percentage of concession for different categories is recommended as follows:
- Self-financing courses - 0-50%
- Others- -0-90%

Alumni Association of Christ University also helps economically weak students through the Alumni Fund. Students seeking support can approach the Alumni Office, BHM Department, II Block, II Floor.

Separate hostel facility for boys and girls on the basis of the first-come-first-service basis that can accommodate 323 female and 390 male students in twin, triple & four sharing basis. Other facilities for the students include Wi-Fi, gym, group study hall, common kitchenette, prayer hall, library, and security. |

The food is provided by 7-8 independent food centers inside the campus. The Cafeteria on the campus provides hygienic and nutritious food to the students. |

Candidate must have completed 10+2 or Higher Senior Secondary Examination with Physics, Mathematics as a compulsory subject and Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology as the optional subject and also the English language from the CBSE or from any other equivalent recognised board. The college has good canteen facilities with 1500 students per canteen there are two canteens north and south canteen. The college has all equipped playgrounds too. Library is open all night till 8 at night. All I can say is college has excellent infrastructure as it is around 80-acre campus bigger than the Christ University main campus. Christ University Faculty of Engineering will have good placement in five to ten years as per now college just a good one but after some time, it will have excellent reputation.
