University of Kashmir (UOK), Srinagar came into existence after bifurcating the University of Jammu & Kashmir built in 1948. The University has 3 campuses – Hazratbal, Naseem Bagh, Mirza Bagh and an additional land at Zakura for further extension. It also has 4 more satellite campuses for people living in remote areas of Kashmir valley. The University has 50 affiliated, 11 constituent, 8 Oriental and 68 Non – Govt. affiliated colleges of education offering courses in all major fields.

What is the basic admission criteria for B.Tech program ?
Basic admission criteria for B.Tech is Students who have minimum 50% marks in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects are eligible for B. Tech. Electronics and Communication. For Lateral Entry admission, students who have cleared 1st year in the same course can apply for admission to 2nd year in a different college and those who have diploma in Electronics and Communication are also eligible for this program.
