Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) was initiated in the year 2005 through Act No.18 of 2005 passed by the State Legislature of Jammu & Kashmir. It is a UGC recognized and AICTE approved the university as well and it is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)

The school is the largest one in the IUST with a total number of students going up to 1100 at present and is expected to increase in the coming years. FIST and Government of India provide funds to this school. |

Islamic university is best when it comes to study in a stress free environment. The faculty of the University are good so if you are a good student, you will learn a lot from there. Infrastructure of university was below average. Campus placements were very rare.
