Central University of Kashmir (formerly known as the Central University of Jammu and Kashmir), Srinagar was established in March 2009. It is one of the 13 recently established Central Universities in different states of India by the Central Universities Act, 2009. It run & managed by Central Govt. of India. It presently functions from Transit campuses at Srinagar district & Administrative office at Hyderpora.
