Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri was established by an Act of the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Act No.XVI of 2002. It is a Public University recognized by the UGC under section 2(F) & 12 (B). It is situated at the foothills of Pir Panjal range in Rajouri, 154 km from Jammu.

Admission criteria for 1) MBA - Candidate must have Bachelors degree in relevant streams from the recognized University. 2) B.Tech - Passed 10+2 from a recognized Board with atleast 50% marks (45% for SC, ST) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination or those whose result of the qualifying examination is awaited can also apply.
