Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar was established in 1995. It is named after Guru Jambheshwar Ji Maharaj, a saint environmentalist of 15th century. Keeping in view the nature of courses offered at the University and the mandate for which it had been established the name of the University has been changed as Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology.
- Objective of the University is “‘To facilitate and promote studies and research in emerging areas of higher education”
- The university aspires to be a globally recognized centre of excellence in the field of technical education and research
- The University is situated at Hisar, a rapidly growing town situated at 167 Km. from Delhi on Delhi- Rohtak-Hisar-Sirsa-Fazilka National Highway (NH- 10) and at a distance of 231 Km. from Chandigarh on NH-65
- The university opted for accreditation by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) by 'A' grade, an autonomous organization of the University Grants Commission

What is the admission criteria for B.Tech ?

Admission criteria for B.Tech is passing the higher secondary school certificate (10+2) examination with science subjects such as biology, maths, physics, chemistry and English with a minimum percentage of marks 45% to 50%. Since most institutions conduct an Entrance Exam, students who have appeared in Higher Secondary Examination and are awaiting results can apply too.

It has best infrastructure with lot of greenery. Best and hard working faculty. Sports facilities are good. A class Airy hostel with recreational facilities. Large library with a proper studying environment. Faculty encourages you to take competitive examinations and guide you properly by takings your problems. Regular seminars are held on various subject like start-ups which is the current need.

Guru Jambeshwar University has a campus that is at par with any NITs if not exceeding. The university has a world class auditorium, library facility, class rooms and decent labs. The university however provides minimal assistance towards placements and the students are expected to find opportunities on their own through joint campus drives or pool ins. As a student of ECE, I found the faculty of subjects like analog and digital communication to be extremely good however, subjects taught by tempo
