Nirma University B.Tech Admission & Application Process

Students who are desirous of getting the application in B.Tech courses can visit the official website. On the website, they can fill the online application form.

Students must fill the application form with the right information and they can make the payment through Debit card/Net banking/Credit Card

Online counselling is carried out for admission to B.Tech programmes of Nirma University. Candidates are supposed to take care of the admission process as well as schedule time to time to know about the latest information on the Courses.

Marksheet of higher secondary and the marks of JEE (Main) are not to be sent.

Undergraduate Admission to Nirma University

At Nirma University, different undergraduate programs are offered in a wide array of specialization including B.A, B.Com in LLB and B.A. in LLB. The University also invites applications for its integrated BBA-MBA course of five years along with other courses such as B.Des and B.Arch.

Candidates longing for getting admission in BBA-MBA integrated program are picked up on the basis of their merit in the Admission test i.e. UGAT. Once they pass this test, then they are eligible to attend the personal interview. The candidates are chosen on various parameters such as their performance in the test, interview as well as their academic performance in 12^th standard.

The final merit is based on the following parameters:-

UGAT scores: 50%

Weightage in Personal Interview: 30%

Academic merit in qualifying examination: 20%

For the candidates who yearn for making their career in law, Nirma University provides a 5-year duration integrated programme of LLB, BA, and B.Com (Hons.). Admission to the Law programs based on All India merit rank in CLAT 2016. CLATexam is also considered mandatory for the foreign students.

The total percentage of intake for B.Com. LLB (Hons) and B.A. LLB (Hons) is 15 % which is to be filled under NRI category

Nirma University also offers B.Des & B.Arch programmes in industrial design and communication design. All these courses have a duration of 4 years. Candidates who apply for B.Des and B.Arch programmes are supposed to take the entrance test organized by the University.

50% seats of B.Arch course are filled by a committee by the name of Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) of Gujarat Government.

Forgetting enrolled in B.Arch programs of Nirma University, the candidates are required to possess a valid score of NATA which qualifies them to get admission into these programmes.

PG Admission to Nirma University

Many postgraduate programmes are offered by Nirma University for the students ranging from M.Sc, LLM, MBA, M.Tech and M.Pharm along with several streams. All of these programs possess a duration of 2 years except for the LLM programme which has a one-year duration.

Nirma University provides M.Tech in as many as 6 specializations which covers all the technology related aspects.

Admission to M.Tech programme is done keeping in view the marks secured in GATE. Once any vacancy is left after GATE applicants’ admission, then these vacancies shall be filled by the Non-GATE applicants who are chosen on the basis of the written test of All India basis. Nirma University MBA courses in Family, Business & Entrepreneurship & MBA (Full Time) also offered. The MBA course has a duration of 2 years.

Students who need to get admission to MBA courses of Nirma University are supposed to appear for the CAT exam which is organized by the renowned institute called IIM. CAT exam is held in December month every year. Candidates can easily apply to the CAT exam by going to the site.

Nirma University lets the students get admission into M.Sc PG programs in 4 specializations. Admission will be given on the basis of the merit gained in the entrance test of the University. In the events of the equal score in the test, qualifying exam’s aggregate marks shall be considered for defining the merit. Students who apply under result awaited category need to provide all the scores of previous semesters and years on the basis of which they will be considered to provide a rank.

The LLM Program of Institute of Law of Nirma University is a degree program of 1 year which is on offer in 4 varied specializations. Admission to these programs will be done on the basis of the marks scored in PG law test i.e. CLAT.

A candidate who appears in PG-CLAT is preferred over others. However non PG-CLAT students can be provided admission on the basis of ILNU entrance test when there is an availability of seats. Students are supposed to apply for the test named PG ILNU by going to the website.

Ph.D. Admission to Nirma University

Nirma University invites applications for Ph.D. programmes in several specializations such as Science, Management, law & technology.

Admission to Ph.D. programs of Nirma University is done on the basis of the scores in the entrance test and then further followed by an interview conducted by an expert panel of the University.

Candidates who secure valid scores in UGC-NET (also including JRF), SLET/GPAT/GATE/UGC-CSIR NET(also including JRF) can get admission to Ph.D. programs of Nirma University

Holders of teacher fellowship or Ph.D holders will be exempted from taking the entrance test and will be considered for the personal interview.
