Entrance Exam & Admissions
To join in National Institute of Technology Silchar in computer science and engineering we have to score a good percentile in Joint Entrance Examination Mains. Cut off for my course is 98.6 percentile for general students i.e nearly 15000 rank. The admission process is very easy it will be done when we come to campus

The placements of National Institute of Technology Silchar are excellent. The highest package is 80 lpa which is secured by a student in computer science and engineering. The average package of computer science and engineering is 24 lpa. The percentage of students who are getting placed is 89 percent in overall under graduation. The intership are also provided by the college from first year itself.
Fees & Scholarships
The fee is affordable. The tution fee for each semester is 80,000 and hostel and mess fee is 32500 for general students whose income is above five lakhs. Whose income is between one to five lakhs 2/3rd of tution part will be reduced. Whose income is less than one lakh and for SC and ST students full tution fee will be reduced. There are scholarships available for all the students. Like NSP, FFE and Reliance.
Academics & Faculty
The faculty were very experienced and very friendly with all the students no partiality is shown to anyone. There will be more than 15 classes per week and four labs. The equipment in the labs were good and the faculty in the labs were also experienced and clarifies all doubts of students.
College Infrastructure
The infrastructure of the campus is not too good because the buildings are old. The campus size is 625 acres which consists of Asia's largest digital library and many grounds like cricket, football, volleyball and basketball and badminton court. There is also a sports complex and a student activity centre. There is gym available in sports complex. Wifi is available in hostels, classrooms and even in labs.
