About College

Dr YSR Horticultural University is established by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh in the year 2007 to provide quality education and training in horticulture to students. It is second Horticulture University of the nation and first in the south India.  University offers undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma courses. Admissions are based for diploma courses HORTICET exam conducted by university. And for undergraduate and post graduate courses admission is based on EAMCET.

University currently has:

• 4 Horticulture Colleges
• 5 Polytechnics of Horticulture
• 27 Research stations in 9 agro-climatic zones in the state
• 3 Krishi Vigyan Kendras

Hostel:

• All the Colleges of Horticulture run by the university have hostel facilities for both boys and girls.
• The five Horticulture Polytechnics too provide fully equipped hostel facilities for the students.
