About College
Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences formerly called Andhra Pradesh University of Health Sciences was established under the vision of Padmashree Dr. NT Rama Rao in 1986. It is State University running with an aim of providing efficient education, training and research in medical sciences discipline. University celebrated its Silver Jubilee on November 1, 2011.
- University offers degree programmes those are MCI, DCI, Central Council of Homeopathy, Central Council of Indian Medicine and Indian Nursing Council.
- University promotes continuous improvisation of available natural resources for making of medicines for the cure of human
- Admissions are based on the score of EAMCET

- Association of AP Medical Graduates Of USA, for offering training in Basic advanced Life Support Systems.
Facilities:
Library: University Library is fully air conditioned and filled with all necessary books and research papers needed by the students and scholars. Library has LAN facility and NRTMEDNET started functioning in order to provide e-journals to all affiliated colleges.
Publications: University journal launched back in march 2012 by Vice chancellor Prof. I.V. Rao. This Journal is quarterly journal which covers research articles of students from various affiliated colleges and also from other universities.
Sports: University also encourages students to participate in various sports activities and competitions. University also introduces various cash prizes for the students.

University Library is fully air conditioned and filled with all necessary books and research papers needed by the students and scholars. It has LAN facility there. It provides other facility like Library stock, eqipped Laboratories, Seminar Hall and Workshops facility.

Bachelor of Science admission criteria - Candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on the year of admission. Candidates must be an Indian National or NRI with Indian origin belonging to the state of Andhra Pradesh or Telangana. Candidates should have passed HSC (10+2 pattern) with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as the compulsory subjects conducted by State board of Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the recognized and valid Board with 45% (40% in case of SC, ST, OBC Candidate) marks. Candidate with Intermediate Vocational with Bridge Course in Biological and Physical Sciences or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology are also eligible for admission.
