The Coimbatore Institute of Management and Technology (CIMAT) an Autonomous Institution was established in 1996, by Kovai Kalaimagal Educational Trust, a well-known Charitable Trust in Coimbatore. CIMAT was Conferred Autonomous Status by UGC & Bharathiar University from the academic year 2010 - 2011.
Dr. P. Natarajan, Academic Director CIMAT, was the Head of the training division of the National Textile Corporation (NTC) for nearly 18 years, and in Anna University, Chennai before that with a long experience of nearly 40 years in teaching and training, he leads CIMAT in its growth path.

It was started with an initial stock of 2050 books in 1999 and now has more than 16,300 volumes of books on Management and computer Science subjects with on-line referential access. Its subscribes to more than 110 International and National Periodicals and has a good collection of Latest CDs & Floppies on various fields. |
Transport Facility |
The college bus starts from Gandhipuram Bus stand at 7:45 am (on all working days) and depart back from the college at 4.45 pm. |
