About College
DK Govt College for Women was established in 1964 and it is affiliated to Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. The college has been offering under graduate courses and post graduate courses. The college campus, spreading over an area of 24 acres, is located in the center of Nellore. The College is accredited by National Association of Accreditation Council.

Extracurricular Activities
- National Cadet Corps (NCC): The cadets attend special NCC camps, raise donations for victims of natural calamities and communal violence, participate in blood donation camps, AIDS awareness programmes, traffic regulation activities and other community based programmes
- National Service Scheme (NSS): The College has one unit with 100 volunteers. The NSS units go to villages and enlighten people on different issues like dowry problem, AIDS, nutrition, women and child health and cleanliness
- Student Union: It is functioning in the college to strive for the fulfillment of the needs and necessities of students
