Karmela Rani Training College, an aegis of Latin Catholic Diocese of Quilon, was established by the then Bishop of Quilon, His Lordship the late Rt. Rev. Dr. Jerome M. Fernandez in the year 1960. The college has been the uncontested out stander in the field of teacher training programs. The noble goals of the Institute aim to create an environment free from evils in which love for the Lord blossoms as roses in spring. The long-standing mission of this setup has been to perpetuate the spiritual, moral, cultural, educational, religious heritage and ethics of Christianity through educative means. The college extended educational guidance to the underprivileged neighborhood schools and educated the young mass to stand up against the misconducts of the society. Research and self-analysis of concepts are given utmost importance at Karmela Rani Training College, as they are considered as the true jewels of human intellect. Piousness, in the purest sense of the term, wanders around KRTC.
