Scottish Church College is a premiere co-ed academic college in West Bengal and was rated as College with Potential for Excellence by UGC. Established in 1830, it is the oldest running college to spread European education combined with the beliefs of Christianity. It is extremely popular for its intellectual environment and academic standards and is in the good books of NAAC.
College aims at producing intellectually sound, socially responsible, spiritually oriented and morally upright citizens who are ready to serve the nation. Currently possessed and administered by CNI (Church of North India), the college provides undergraduate courses from University of Calcutta and autonomous degree in postgraduate courses. Its cultural fest Caledonia is highly popular in Kolkata and draws students from different universities in the country.
