About College

Garhwal Vikas Kendra was established in 1988 by Mr. Parendra Saklani. It is a non Governmental development organisation sustainable development of the remote Uttarakhand, its vulnerable and marginalised communities and conservation of its sensitive eco-system. This project is implemented in the remote area of District Tehri, Uttarkashi and Almora of Uttarakhand.  Indo-German Social Service Society (IGSSS) New Delhi, gave him a fellowship to continue his work as a social activist in Garhwal. The major focus of the activity is on women and child. Most of the development programmes and activities keep the issue and welfare of women and child rights while designing and implementing them.
