The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI), located in Gandhinagar district of Gujrat is an autonomous and not-for-profit institute.The institute was established in 1983 and is sponsored by the IDBI Bank Ltd, IFCI Ltd, ICICI Bank Ltd and State Bank of India.
The institute is spread in a 23 acres green campus, just 7km from the Ahmedabad airport on the way to Gandhinagar. Its buildings designed by Bimal Hasmukh Patel received the Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 1992.
Separate hostels for boys and girls are provided inside the campus. Good sports facilities are available on the campus including gymnasium, table tennis, volley ball, lawn tennis, cricket, foot-ball and basketball.

The library is housed with a large number of text book and reference books on diverse subjects of entrepreneurship and related subjects. The total collection in library is more than 30000 including books, CDs and other materials.
The library also subscribes to 160 national and international journals in the field of entrepreneurship and related subjects. Apart from this, EDILIC also subscribes 30 Newspapers of the country. EDILIC has a collection of 200 video-cassettes produced by EDI and other organizations and 2500 CDs/DVDs/VCDs.

Hows the college ?
Good exposure towards practical knowledge about business and it has some unique ways to relate everything. It also has some good international exposure and have beautifully designed course to make students more participative. One great thing about this college is the campus and its environment is so beautiful and friendly that you feel like doing some work there at the campus and not at your home.
