The Department of Management Studies IIT Delhi, also known as DMS IIT Delhi, is the school of management education and research in Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. The PG Management education initiated in IIT Delhi in 1976 with the School of System and Management Studies. The department established in 1993 by an amendment in IIT Delhi statutes.
Currently the school runs a two year full time MBA program, a three year part time MBA program and doctoral programs in various management fields
A Center for Excellence in E-governance has been established to promote research in the area of governance. It is a state of the art facility for research and training on e-governance
The department provides consultancy support to various international organizations like the US Air force
The Department has contributed in the policy formulation and operational activities at the highest level of the Government, University Grants Commission (UGC), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development and various corporate enterprises

Academic Overview: The MBA program of DMS, IIT Delhi has a full-bodied structure, in which a prudently chosen set of core courses that lay the basis for all arenas of management is accessible in the first year, and a wide choice of electives under each management zone are offered to students in their second year
Apart from the specialized necessary courses in the focus area, the students have choice for handy area specialization in Information Systems, Marketing, Strategy, Finance, Organization Management, Operations, HR, etc.

The Centre comprising a Club Building, Gymnasium Hall, Swimming Pool, Amphitheatre, Music Rooms, Hobbies Workshop and a large Dark Room, caters to various hobbies of the students. The center also contains huge Amphitheatre, which can accommodate 3,500 persons. |
