Admission Criteria & Eligibility

  • At least 12 levels of conventional education lead to good distinctions and those final marks in an examination that is permitted for enrollment into the University. The applicants whose RCM/WASSI/ASWI/ISWI exams were stipulated to come between January and May 2018 must ensure that they submit/upload their certified results online within three working days after the official release of the results. It is important to note that if high school results are not announced by the application closing date, you should submit the predicted high school scores witnessed by your school teacher/counselor before March 31, 2018—also, only N.U. Results will be allowed(self-determined scores will not be counted). The table below presents the institution's foreign qualifications that are considered transferable and acceptable to SMU undergraduate degree programs.

  • One of the following is required: SAT (SAT I) and ACT, including the subscores of IELTS (International English Language Testing System) or TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language).
  • Interview for shortlisted applicants. Candidacy indicated by name inclusion is not enough for judicial law; contestants must also successfully take a writing test.
  • SAT (old SAT - before March 2016): The least I can get is a minimum total score of 1,900, with at least 600 points in each of the test components, critical reading, mathematics, and writing.
  • SAT (new SAT - from March 2016): A minimum total score of 1350 with at least 650 in essay reading and writing based on evidence. An essay is not required.
  • ACT: The composite score should be at least 29, with reading and writing skills at least 27.
  • IELTS: An overall context level of 7.0 or above, as well as a reading score of 7.0 and a writing score of 6.5.
  • TOEFL iBT (internet-based test): The highest score of 93 should be obtained, distributed proportionately, with at least 22 for both reading and writing.
  • TOEFL PBT (paper-based test): The reading section requires students to achieve a minimum score of 583, a minimum of 5.5 in the TWE section, and a minimum of 50 in reading.
  • Under its existing framework, the SAT and ACT scores are valid for five years. For the 2018 admissions exercise, we will use only the latest test scores for students who tested before March 19, 2013.
  • The ELTS/TOEFL score is valid for only two years. Last year, the admissions group asked not to count scores from tests taken before March 19, 2016.
  • The applicants are to be applying for themselves to sit for the various qualification and licensing exams. However, there are two other forms, which include an online request form, which should be sent in by March 19, 2018, together with the admission forms.

SMU Singapore Scholarships 2024

Singapore Management University offers its students various scholarships. One is a 16,000 Singapore dollar grant, which can be used for purposes such as the Summer Exchange Program for Overseas Students, the Overseas Community Support Initiative, Overseas Case Competitions, and presentations at conferences.
